How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

A method is developed for analysis of the processes in the tuyere zone. Analysis permits calculation of the change in the yield, composition, and temperature of the intermediate gas at the axis of the tuyere zone and determination of the final composition of the hot reducing gases at the output from this zone. The quantitative ratios of the residual oxygen ΔO 2 and the oxidized gases CO 2 and H 2 O along the axis of the tuyere zone in the combustion of fuel additives are established. It is possible to regulate the proportions (by volume) of the gases ΔO 2 , CO 2 , and H 2 O in coke consumption so as to ensure heat transfer from the wall to the center of the furnace. If the fuel-additive consumption is regulated according to specific technological protocols, the additives may not only be regarded as a replacement for coke but will also provide information regarding the blast-furnace process. A formula for the degree of direct reduction of the metals is derived. Continuous determination of the direct reduction will also provide valuable information regarding the process.
