How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This article presents the results of studying the morphological and biochemical properties of Lactobacillus bacteria Lacticaseibacillus paracasei 36/1 and Lacticaseibacillusparacasei 30/1, as well as the characteristics of optimal conditions for vacuum freeze-drying and effective protectants for preserving the industrially valuable properties of lactobacilli included in “AS-Probionorm”. As a result of the morphological analysis, strains 30/1 and 36/1 were identified as Gram-positive, asporogenous, rod-shaped, non-spore-forming, facultatively anaerobic bacteria belonging to the phylum Firmicutes, class Bacilli, order Lactobacillales, family Lactobacillaceae, genus Lactobacillus. Protectant No. 1 (7% sucrose; 1.5% gelatin; 7% skimmed milk powder) was determined to be the optimal protective medium for lyophilization, as it allows the number of viable cells to remain at the same level before and after drying. The lactic acid bacterial strains are resistant to bile, since the decrease in viable cell count when grown on a medium containing 3% bile is minor and amounts to one order of magnitude.
