Abstract
The growing role of the innovative type of development of thecountry's economy is due to the digitalization process. The intensification ofactivities in the development of innovations is a prerequisite for increasing thecountry's competitiveness in the world arena. However, global challenges of asystemic nature, as well as the differentiation of indicators in the national economy,lead to a lag in the level of innovative development among high-tech countries. Thearticle is devoted to the assessment of the innovative potential of the Republic ofKazakhstan. The topic under study is related to the innovative type of developmentof the country's economy, aimed at digitalization. The article analyzes the levelof: innovative activity of business entrepreneurship, innovative activity by sectorsof the economy, innovative activity by the size of business entrepreneurship
