The growing role of the innovative type of development of thecountry's economy is due to the digitalization process. The intensification ofactivities in the development of innovations is a prerequisite for increasing thecountry's competitiveness in the world arena. However, global challenges of asystemic nature, as well as the differentiation of indicators in the national economy,lead to a lag in the level of innovative development among high-tech countries. Thearticle is devoted to the assessment of the innovative potential of the Republic ofKazakhstan.
