How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Extended Reality (XR)—encompassing Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR)—is transforming the landscape of education by enabling real-time, interactive 3D reconstruction of objects, environments, and phenomena. This review explores current methodologies and technologies used for real-time XR-based reconstruction and their application in diverse educational contexts, such as cultural heritage, environmental science, engineering, and anatomy. It emphasizes scalable approaches to content creation and real-time rendering, including photogrammetry, 3D scanning, and AI-enhanced modelling. Additionally, the paper highlights Kazakhstan’s emerging contributions to XR adoption in educational settings, demonstrating how immersive technologies can enhance engagement, understanding, and accessibility in formal and informal learning environments.
