How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare two modern soil bioconsolidation methods: MICP (microbial-induced carbonate precipitation) and EICP (enzymatic-induced carbonate precipitation). Both methods rely on the precipitation of carbonate minerals, leading to increased physical strength of the soil. The study was conducted using sandy soil samples collected in Aktau, Kazakhstan. Microbially induced carbonate precipitation (MICP) proved more effective, resulting in a 2.5–3 fold increase in biocement strength compared to the control, whereas enzymatic carbonate precipitation (EICP) yielded a 1.5–2 fold increase. A urease solution was used for enzymatic precipitation, and Sporosarcina pasteuriiwas used for microbial research. Bacterial isolates recovered from the soil exhibit biocementation efficacy and may be advantageous for applications.
