The profile is assembled from external sources by ORCID identifier and reconciled with the Platform catalogue. Below is the whole path, including what we do not know and what we deliberately do not show.
What the h-index is
The largest number h such that the author has h papers with at least h citations each. Computed over all publications for all time, with no year window. An author with no eligible papers gets 0.
Which citation counts
Only one whose both sides are valid. If the citing paper is withdrawn, retracted, or merged into a duplicate, the citation stops being valid and leaves every counter on this page at once.
What updates and when
Only the h-index is recalculated on schedule, and it does not move between recalculations. The publication, citation, and first-quartile counts are recomputed on every page load: they reflect the catalogue as it stands now, not as of the last recalculation.
What is not here
Awards, memberships, and bibliometric milestones are collected from external sources but shown in the researcher's card on their university page. The paper list is capped at the twenty most recent, so the distribution by year is built from those.
