How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This article presents the results of CFD modeling of the interaction of a gas flow with a fixed layer of activated carbon fibers obtained from cotton stalks. CFD modeling has been performed using the Comsol Multiphysics 6.1 software package by using the Free and Porous Media Flow module. The experiments have been carried out at an ambient temperature of 22 ± 0.5 °C, at the height of the adsorption layer of activated carbon fibers obtained from cotton stalks from 50 mm to 300 mm and a gas flow velocity in the range of 0.1-1 m/s. In this study, based on the data obtained using numerical modeling, it is proposed to consider the external and the internal problems of hydrodynamics in the interaction of a gas flow with a layer of activated carbon fibers from cotton stalks. A calculated dependence of hydraulic resistance in the form of a binomial interpolation function and criterion equations in the form of a functional dependence of the Euler criterion on the Reynolds criterion and a geometric simplex for internal and external problems of hydrodynamics are obtained. At the same time, the error between the calculated results and the results of numerical experiments has been 1.5%.
