How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Despite the fact that the problem of the functioning and development of the labor market is actively studied by foreign and Kazakhstani researchers, its relevance continues to persist, especially with regard to regional labor markets. It is established that in Zhambyl region there has been a tendency to reduce the share of the labor force in the total population. It is determined that the level of employment of the population is characterized by high values, which, as a rule, is characteristic of underdeveloped regions. It was found out that among the employed population there is a high proportion of employees who consciously choose hired labor. It is shown that the situation with the increase in the number of self-employed population does not contradict the nationwide trend for self-employment, but significantly exceeds the average republican level. It is established that the predominant part of the unemployed are men living in cities and women living in rural areas. It is determined that the majority of the unemployed have higher and secondary specialized education. It has been revealed that as a result of the departure of the able-bodied population, primarily young people, to large cities and oil-producing regions of the country in search of work, a negative balance of migration has been characteristic of the region for many years. The distribution of the employed population by types of economic activity is analyzed. The branches of the economy that play an important role in the formation of the gross regional product, but do not significantly affect the functioning of the labor market, are identified. It is established that the agrarian and industrial potential of the region is insufficiently used, which inevitably leads to deformations in the structure of the labor market and contributes to the irrational use of the labor potential of the population.
