How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

We propose a model for the double charged layer on the surface of the Sun's spicules. Thermal energy of the star leads to the emission of electrons, and strong gravity leads to the retention of ions and formation of a self-regulating positive charge on the surface of the star. The charge value is affected by parameters of the star: mass, radius, temperature, rotation speed, and composition. The positive surface charge is shielded by an electrons from plasma cloud and a double charged layer is formed. Electrons are accelerated in the Coulomb field and ionize atoms on the spicule surface. Ions are accelerated by the binary field and form a high-temperature corona and a fast solar wind. The hot temperature of corona of the star, the multi charged ions, the EUF and X-ray radiation, and the solar wind are all due to the electric double layer on the star's surface.
