How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The process of theoretical study of national policy in Kazakhstan, as well as in the USSR as a whole, has passed a difficult path from various prohibitions to works with new, fundamentally different conceptual approaches and methodology. The authors analyze the conceptual approaches of representatives of foreign historiography, dividing it into two groups: Anglo-American and Russian, historiography of the Soviet period, as well as the works of modern Kazakh researchers to the implementation of national policy in Kazakhstan. Significant number of works during the study period allows authors to trace how the approaches, methods and conclusions on the identified problems changed. The study of extensive literature on national issues allows determining the level of influence of ideology on historical science, to consider the differences between studies of the Soviet period from foreign and modern ones.
