How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

In this work, edge computing model for task offloading from a user device to an edge node under Nakagami-m wireless fading channels is investigated. This analytically tractable fading channel millimeter wave (mmWave) bands utilized in 5G and beyond mobile networks. Two models have been developed for this aim, namely, edge computing with cache-assisted relaying and edge computing with cache-free relaying. Moreover, five criteria are analyzed for the best edge node selection. Then, the corresponding schemes are assessed in terms of the delay-reliability metric. In the analytical section, we formulate closed form expressions for the delay-outage probability of different relay-based edge computing schemes. Moreover, in the simulation section, the effect of various system parameters on the model performance is observed. Eventually, the schemes are compared by their performance and appropriate conclusions are drawn.
