How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This article provides a comparative analysis of thepsychophysiological readiness of children of both sexes 5-6 and 6-7 yearsold. Today’s issues of psychological readiness for schooling are composedof lack of necessary knowledge, skills and abilities of the child during thetransition from kindergarten to school, but also are considered the issues ofidentification at what age it is better to start going to school. The purpose ofthe work is to study the psychological readiness of both boys and girls aged5-6 and 6-7 years old to study at school. The possibilities of the Kern-JirasekMethod, The “House” technique, method of conversation for determininginner position by N.Ya. Gutkina and methodology for learning motivationcreated by M.R. Ginzburg in determining school maturity are revealed.According to gained data, the best age characterizing the school maturity ofchildren is the age of 6-7 years, when they show a high psychophysiologicalreadiness for learning. The level of development of visual activity andimaginative thinking (according to Kern-Jirasek) was higher in boysand it increased with approaching 7 years of age. Boys also show earlypsychological readiness and motivation to go to school. The girls showed ahigh level of development of fine motor skills of their hands by copying andwriting the given letters and groups of dots. Also, girls of both age groupsshowed a higher level of development of psychophysiological qualities: highindicators of spatial perception, the development of involuntary attention, sensorimotor coordination.
