How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The complex transperineal and transabdominal examination of the cervix and lower uterine segment to predict outcomes of prelabour rupture of the membranes at term (TermPROM). Transperineal and transabdominal ultrasound performed in 101 primiparous with TermPROM. Among the anatomical parameters of the cervix, the length of the cervical canal (CL), the width of the cervix (CW) and the diameter of the cervical canal (CD) in its proximal and distal sections were determined. Anatomical parameters of the lower uterine segment were performed by anteroposterior distance (APD) and lower segment thickness. Doppler study assessed the resistance index (RI) in the cervical (CA) and the uterine arteries (UA). 69.31±4,59% of women had vaginal birth (VB), 30.69±4,59% - Caesarean section (CS). There was no significant difference in maternal age, gestational age, extra- and genital diseases, complications of pregnancy, the weight of the fetus among the compared groups (p> .05). The CL (1.74±.27 vs 3.14±.51, p < .001) and APD (10.90 vs 10,60, p = .002) were shorter in the VB group. The RI in the CA was significantly higher in the CS group (.64 vs .75 p < .001). The SD (1.76±.22 vs 2.41±.55, p < .001) and RI in the UA (.42±.06 vs .56±,09, p < .001) were significantly higher in the CS group. A negative average relationship (r = - .669, 95%CI .764 - .545, p < .001) was found between the APD and the RI in the UA. Also the positive average relationship (r = - 0.569, 95%CI .687 - 0.421, p < .001) was found between the CL and RI in the CA. The CS probability was found by the formula of the binomial logistic regression: p = 1/(1+e), where z = -3,836 + 0,253xAPD + 0,638xCL (sensitivity – 98.6%, specificity – 93.5%, prognostic value of a positive result – 97.2% and a negative result – 96.7%). Complex transperineal and transabdominal sonographic examination can be used for predicting the outcomes of prelabour rupture of the membranes at term.
