Abstract
This article is devoted to the analysis of the factors contributing to the formation of the culture of interethnic relations in the conditions of modernization of public consciousness. To reveal the topic, the statistical data of Turkestan region on ethnic composition were used, the role and importance of the Assembly of people of Kazakhstan and ethno-cultural associations in strengthening interethnic harmony in the region were considered.
