How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Aim of research to increase the effectiveness of surgical treatment and diagnostic of chronic sinusitis [CS] Material and methods 350 patients were examined, 226 (64,5%) among them with chronic maxillary sinusitis. All patients were undergone complex of laboratorial, clinical and radiological methods of examination. Along with traditional rentgenological methods we used the digital fluorography, computer scan, videoendoscopic examination of sinuses and nasal cavity. 226 patients with nose and maxillary sinus pathology were undergone surgical treatment. Functional examination of mucocilliary transport, anterior active rhinomanometry, pH‐metry and calorifer function investigation were performed. The high resolving ability of digital fluorography allow to diagnose up to 80% true the inflammation of sinuses and to recognize the structural changes, soft tissue mass of nose and sinuses. During diagnostic of chronic rhinosinusitis: purulent, parietal, hyperplastic forms ‐ the effectiveness of digital fluorography is 80,5%. We suggested modified maxillary sinusotomy in case of chronic purulent and parietal‐hyperplastic forms of maxillary sinusitis, effectivity of this method is 86.5%. This method allows providing sanation of sinuses, restoring ventilation, drainage of maxillary sinuses and prevents scarry stricture of osteomyetal complex. Thus, modern examination methods: endoscopy of nasal cavity, digital fluorography, CS and MRT and also functional check up of the nose in pre‐ and postoperative periods prevent complications and allow estimate the effectiveness of treatment.
