Abstract
This article presents an overview of a number of works exploring the «theory of agenda-setting», its meaning and impact on the society as well as its ongoing transformation. The system of knowledge on information agenda can be divided by topics into such areas as the content and typology of agenda, the process of its creating and changing, the methodology of its study, together with the influence of information agenda on social and political processes and relations. Involvement in the formation of the data collection and control over the spread of its substantive elements is among the most essential functions of social and political actors. The rapid development of modern information and communication technologies in the new area and their introduction in various aspects of social and political life, actualize issues related to the formation of data agenda.
