Abstract
The article raises an important psychological problem as the relationship of spouses after the birth of the first child. Family – a form of organization of personal life, based on the relationship between husband and wife, parents and children. In this regard, of particular interest are studies where the rela- tionship between spouses after the birth of the first child is considered. The methodological basis of our work was composed of works studying the psychological phenomena of matrimony Yu.E. Aleshina the theory of interpersonal relations N.N. Obozov and the provision on the family, as the aggregate subject of the joint life of M.P. Kabakova But there is not enough work in Kazakh psychology on the relationship of spouses after the birth of a child, so we tried to fill this gap. The results of the study showed that men feel responsibility for the family; women have signs of non- independence, dependence on others, they consider their relationship with a spouse to be conflicting. For men, it is important to realize themselves in a social space, and for women to maintain the psycho- logical climate in the family. To maintain a successful family relationship, spouses adhere to the need to maintain optimal emotional contact with the child. The practical significance of the work presented is that the data obtained in the study can be useful to family psychologists for the implementation of psy- chological work with married couples during their first parenthood.
