How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This paper presents the results of research of texture and sorption characteristics of composite materials based on vegetable raw materials walnut shell and thistle meal, activated with alkali and ammonia. It is shown that practically all the texture and adsorption characteristics as a result of the modificationhave significantly improved. Based on the analysis of the results of scanning electron microscopy (SEM)and increased values of adsorption activity of iodine, the modified material has a practically heterogeneous texture, represented mainly by mesopores was established. It was established that the process ofsorption of cadmium and lead ions is described by the monomolecular theory of Langmuir, which ischaracterized by the presence of active centers on the surface of the sorbent. The optimal conditionsfor the sorption of Cd2+ and Pb2 + ions under static conditions are established: the contact time of thereagents is 15 min, at which the degree of extraction of cadmium and lead ions reaches ~ 99.0%. Inaddition, the sorption process was studied in the simultaneous presence of two ions: Cd2+ and Pb2 +.The sorbent obtained from the plant raw materials can be used for effective wastewater treatment fromcadmium and lead ions, which contributes to solving one of the most urgent problems in the field ofecology and environmental protection.Key words: thistle meal, walnut shell, lead, cadmium, sorption, composite materials
