How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The peculiarities of removing methylene blue from water have been investigeted. It is established, that in the purification of water from methylene blue using diatomite, together with adsorption coagulation processes can occur. This consists in heterocoagulation of positively charged dye associates with negatively charged particles of diatomite. At low concentrations dye ions can be removed from solution by adsorption on the clay surface. Adsorption of methylene blue ions can be based on the ion exchange between silanol groups of the clay surface and dye cations. At high concentrations cleaning of water occurs due to mutual coagulation of the positively charged particles of dye and the negatively charged particles of diatomite. In this conditions dye molecules similar molecules of surfactants form associates containing tens or hundreds molecules. The highest degree of dye ions extraction from water is observed at contact time 6 hours and at medium pH ≥ 4. In acidic medium (pH <4) degree of dye removing from water decreases due to protonisation of clay’s silanol groups to SiOH2
