How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine albumin, C-reactive protein (CRP) and the modified proteins in the blood of patients with idiopathic interstitial pneumonia (IIP). There were 2 groups: 19 patients with IIP (moderate severity, respiratory failure of second degree) and 32 healthy persons as control subjects. The diagnosis of IIP was exposed on the basis of clinical observation and verified by computed tomography. All patients have had IIP duration at least 4 years. Albumin, CRP, reactive carbonyl derivates of proteins (RCD) and advanced oxidation protein products (AOPPs) were measured in plasma. The concentration of RCD and AOPPs were measured following the protocol of R.L. Levine et al. (1990) and Witko-Sarsat et al (1996). The concentration of albumin was lower compared control ones (by 27%). At the same time the CRP level in plasma of 50% patients was higher compared with control ones. The tendency to increasing of RCD and significant growth of AOPPs (by 3 times, p< 0.001) in plasma of patients compared with control ones. The preferential accumulation of AOPPs may be considered as one of mediator of IIP progression.
