How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The structural modications of LiF irradiated with swift heavy ions under oblique angles have been investigated using AFM, SEM, chemical etching, nanoindentation and optical absorption spectroscopy.LiF crystals were irradiated under incidence angles of 30 and 70 degrees with 2.2 GeV Au (uence 5 × 10 11 ions cm -2 ) and 150 MeV Kr ions (uence 10 12 10 14 ions cm -2 ).Structural study on sample cross-sections shows that two damage regions, (1) nanostructured zone and (2) dislocation rich zone, which are typical for irradiations at normal incidence, appear also in samples irradiated under oblique angles. However in the latter case a more complex structure is formed that leads to stronger ion-induced hardening.
