Abstract
The article provides a numerical simulation of the combustion of natural gas (100% methane). Two fuel delivery options are considered. Graphs showing the dependence between nitrogen oxides and the method of supplying fuel and its consumption are presented. Contours of velocities and temperature dependences are presented. The analysis showed that the fuel supply along the height of the v-gutter flameholders leads to a decrease in the formation of nitrogen oxides, compared with the supply from the bottom. The average difference is 16.5% over the entire range of fuel consumption. The temperature difference is 4%. The big difference is explained by the exponential dependence between nitrogen oxides and temperature.
