How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This study leverages the TIMES-KAZ model and linear regression techniques to explore strategies for reducing emissions from energy and industrial sectors by integration more renewables. The scenario analysis of Kazakhstan's energy sector reveals a progressive shift towards cleaner energy sources, with increased investments in renewables, particularly in the Current Measures (CM) and Current and Additional Measures (CAM) scenarios. Despite this, complexities arise in emission patterns, particularly within the heat production sector, highlighting the need for a balanced energy transition approach. The analysis of Kazakhstan’s industrial sector indicates a rising trend in GHG emissions, driven primarily by growth in metallurgy and mineral industries with consideration green hydrogen. The CAM scenario integrate advanced low-carbon technologies like hydrogen-based steel production, integration of renewables and electric arc furnaces, demonstrates the potential to cut emissions by half by 2035.
