How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Abstract This study explores ion-induced transformations in niobium under radiation and thermal conditions. The niobium foils were implanted with 57Fe ions at 200 keV and subjected to isochronous annealing at temperatures up to 1000 °C. The effects on phase composition and structural state were examined using the Mössbauer Spectroscopy method in transmission geometry (MS), conversion electron Mössbauer Spectroscopy (CEMS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. The results showed the formation of a supersaturated Nb (Fe) solid solution after implantation, transitioning to a Fe2Nb intermetallic compound upon annealing. Ion implantation produced metastable and amorphous phases, while thermal treatment led to crystallization, reducing the iron concentration in Nb(Fe) and increasing the content of Fe2Nb. This work contributes to understanding radiation-induced segregation and phase transformations in niobium, enhancing its potential in nuclear material science.
