How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Blockchain technology is emerging as a revolutionary solution for improving transparency, trust, and accountability in the charitable sector. This paper introduces a blockchain-based model for a charitable system aimed at resolving significant issues in conventional charitable frameworks, including insufficient transparency, elevated administrative expenses, and donor skepticism. The proposed model employs decentralized ledger technology and smart contracts to establish a secure, verifiable, and tamper-resistant donation process, enabling donors to monitor funds and guaranteeing that donations are allocated in accordance with specified conditions. This model enhances donor trust and mitigates operational inefficiencies by reducing intermediaries through the implementation of blockchain technology. The results demonstrate the model’s capacity to enhance the integrity of charitable operations and underscore the significance of regulatory and accessibility factors for broad implementation.
