How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This paper examines the perception of risks by private partners in public-private partnership (PPP) projects in Kazakhstan. An analysis was made of the risk perception of the private partner in PPP projects in Kazakhstan. Based on a literature review, a list of 39 risks was compiled. The article used an empirical survey on a 5-point Likert scale, which was conducted among experts, where 64 responses were collected from respondents. Risks were proposed, where each risk was assessed by the likelihood of its occurrence and the level of its impact on the success of PPP projects. Based on the values of probability and impact, the article calculated the importance of the risk, which determines its criticality. The analysis of the results showed that the top 5 risks in PPP projects are fluctuations in inflation, fluctuations in the exchange rate, delays in approvals and obtaining permits, changes in legislation and high financing costs. Using a risk list can help PPP participants assess risks and develop risk management strategies for project success. In addition, a ranked list of risks can be used by investors to understand the level of criticality of a particular risk, which should be taken into account when concluding PPP agreements.
