How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Abstract As a result of research, it was revealed that there is a problem of turning accurate large-sized, long parts, which is associated with an increase in productivity and quality of processing, as well as with a decrease in the cost of turning operations. To solve this problem, the authors developed a method of thermo-friction turn-milling and tool design. However, the lack of knowledge of the thermal phenomena occurring in the contact layer “blank-tool” during processing inhibits the widespread use of the proposed method. In this regard, this article simulated the thermal state of the surface layer during cutting. The results of modeling the thermal state of the surface layer when processing parts from difficult materials with thermofriction turn-milling are presented. The influence of cutting conditions and geometric parameters of the tool on the distribution of the temperature field of the surface layer of the workpiece during thermo-friction turn-milling is considered.
