How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Isothermal multicomponent diffusion in three-component mixtures He + Ar − N2 and CH4 + Ar − N2 at different pressures and certain concentrations of components in the binary mixtures is experimentally studied. It is shown that convective instability, which significantly intensifies the multicomponent mass transfer, occurs due to the pressure increase in systems where diffusion coefficients are significantly different from each other. Parameters characterizing the transition of diffusion mixing into the convective one can be determined by the numerical simulation methods. Modelling of the multi-component mixing process is carried out by means of the joint solution of the Navier-Stokes equations, diffusion equations and continuity equation. It is shown that essentially non-linear distributions of the component concentrations that lead to non-linear distribution of the density of the mixture, which is responsible for the formation of convective structures, arises at a certain pressure in the system.
