How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The article examines the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan after independence in 1991, as well as problems and issues that arise during this process. The study used data from official statistics, policy documents and materials of the Department of Agriculture published on the website and articles on agrarian issues. The article highlights the social problems of agrarian sector that need to be addressed. Domestic grocery production is weak competitive both in foreign and national market due to low level of quality products. Kazakh producers are losing much part of the food market due to lack of capacity for processing of agricultural raw materials and to its low quality as well as to weak links between farmers and processors.
