How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

A novel Rotating Electrolyte Disc (RED) apparatus has been developed to determine parameters controlling mass transport of dissolved oxygen (and other gases) and oxidised species including metal oxide in liquid metal anode SOFCs. The validity of the concept and design for high temperature studies was first demonstrated by testing the setup in an aqueous system at ambient temperature (equimolar solution of ferrous and ferric chloride in KCl as supporting electrolyte). The diffusion coefficients have been determined for Fe2+ and Fe3+ by measuring the limiting oxidation and reduction diffusion-controlled currents. The obtained data have been compared with appropriate literature data. Preliminary testing of RED in molten tin electrodes is discussed.
