How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The study aims to assess the effectiveness of pedagogical methods in tourism education within Kazakhstani secondary schools. Employing bibliographic, theoretical, modeling, and analysis methods, the research focuses on innovative teaching approaches. Qualitative research methods, including interviews with students and field trips to Almaty, were utilized. Priority methods, such as problem-based learning, Inquiry-based Learning, and group work, were identified. The effectiveness of these methods was specifically examined at Gymnasium-School No. 81 in Almaty through questionnaires and interviews conducted with 51 students and 162 city residents/tourists. The findings underscore the significance of developing innovative teaching methods aligned with students' preferences. The study emphasizes the importance of problem-based learning, Inquiry-based Learning, and group work in enhancing the quality of tourism education in Kazakhstani secondary schools.
