How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This paper presents numerical simulations of the water flow in the case of an emergency at the protective hydraulic engineering constructions. A mathematical model for simulation of flooding flow is based on Navier-Stokes equations coupled with the volume-of-fluid (VOF) method. The 2D computational domain is discretized via the finite volume method (FVM). For turbulence modelling, the k-ε model is chosen. The interface between air and liquid is captured by CICSAM (compressive interface capturing scheme for arbitrary meshes) scheme, whereas the semi-implicit method for pressure linked equations (SIMPLE) scheme is applied for the pressure-velocity coupling. A second order upwind discretization scheme is used for the momentum equations. The verification of the present results is produced on a single flooding water body. The results show a good agreement with previous simulations and experiments of different authors. Then the simulation is expanded and analysed for cases with two different types of obstacles. Numerical simulation results are illustrated by figures and tables.
