How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This study was carried out to analyze the characteristics and specificity of the XUAR nationalcomposition formation during the modern and contemporary periods. The main thesis of the work is the propositionthat the formation of the modern structure of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region population is extended intime and dependent on Beijing’s policy towards national outskirts. The researchers consecutively showed stages inthe formation of Xinjiang population highlighting five stages in the formation of modern ethnic composition. Themain conclusion of the research is that a demographic explosion is expected in the XUAR in the coming years. Asurge of the positive migration balance can occur only at the expense of the “infusion” of Han Chinese from theinterior regions of China. In this way, China’s central government is trying to bind “demographically” andstrengthen its position in the western region, through Central Asia.
