How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Abstract In strongly coupled plasmas the diffusion of the particles takes place on a timescale that is long compared to the timescale of oscillations of the particles in the local minima of the potential landscape. The ensuing quasi‐stability of the local particle configurations can be quantified by monitoring the changes of the immediate surroundings, i.e. the ”cages”, of the particles. Studies of cage correlations are presented here for 2‐dimensional Yukawa systems that model dusty plasmas by including the friction exerted on the dust particles by the embedding gaseous environment. We find that the increasing friction enhances the caging time by randomizing the directed motion of the particles. (© 2016 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
