How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on English as Second Language (ESL) learning through the lens of 36 teachers from diverse educational settings in Kazakhstan. An online survey combining quantitative and qualitative data reveals that while AI tools like personalized content and AI-driven feedback can enhance student engagement and autonomy, concerns remain regarding over-reliance, equitable access, and ethical implications. The findings highlight the need for a balanced and critical approach to AI integration in language education, supported by teacher training and robust digital literacy initiatives. This study contributes practical insights for optimizing motivation in language classrooms through strategic AI integration, while acknowledging its limitations and potential biases.
