How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Cognitive diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and mild cognitive impairment (MCI), represent a growing global public health crisis requiring urgent advances in early diagnosis and intervention. Traditional diagnostic methods based on clinical trials, neuropsychological tests, and neuroimaging often reveal cognitive decline only after significant neurodegeneration has occurred, which limits therapeutic effectiveness. This article explores the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI), in particular machine learning (ML) algorithms, to overcome these limitations and revolutionize the diagnosis of cognitive diseases.. This article presents a comprehensive examination of how AI and machine learning (ML) technologies are revolutionizing medical diagnostics, with particular emphasis on cognitive diseases like AD and MCI. The research demonstrates significant progress in AI-driven diagnosis of cognitive impairments. Although artificial intelligence offers unprecedented opportunities, its successful integration into clinical practice depends on eliminating data inconsistencies, limitations associated with specific algorithms, and providing reliable data security protocols. Ultimately, artificial intelligence serves as a powerful aid for healthcare professionals, empowering them and contributing to a more efficient patient-centered healthcare system rather than replacing the human experience.
