How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

In the evolving landscape of higher education, data-driven decision-making has emerged as a crucial strategy for enhancing quality education. This bibliometric review study examines the existing literature on data-driven decision-making within higher education to outline its impact on the quality of education. This study employs a thorough bibliometric analysis to gather and analyze scholarly articles from major databases. It identifies main trends, influential authors, and key research themes in the field. The findings reveal that there is increasing focus on leveraging data analytics, learning analytics, and educational data mining to inform policy, teaching methods, and administrative strategies. The study also highlights the challenges and opportunities associated with implementing data-driven approaches, such as data privacy concerns and the need for robust data governance frameworks. By synthesizing current research, this review provides a holistic understanding of how data-driven decision-making can be strategically employed to ensure and enhance the quality of education in higher institutions. This paper not only contributes to the academic discourse by mapping the intellectual landscape but also offers practical insights for educators, policymakers, and administrators aiming to foster a data-informed educational environment.
