How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This article presents a clinical case of a 24-year-old man with progressive fibrodysplasia ossificans. The progressive course of the disease leads to severe functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system, severe disability of patients and premature death, mainly at a young age. There is no way to prevent the progression of the disease. Surgical removal of ossificates only enhances the processes of ossification. A common cause of death is a pulmonary infection due to hypoventilation. In the future, there is hope for the creation of a drug that blocks the genetic mechanism that triggers the growth of extra bones.Key words: рrogressive fibrodysplasia ossificans, clinical case, fibromyozitis, fibrosarcoma, treatment fibrodysplasia, clinical case.
