Abstract
Trophoblastic tumors are rare malignant tumors that occur in reproductive age against the background of persistence of trophoblast cells after the completion of pregnancy or as a result of trophoblastic malignancy. A distinctive feature of trophoblastic tumors is high aggressiveness, rapid growth and metastasis. The most common form of trophoblastic tumors is chorioncarcinoma, which usually develops after a previous pregnancy. In the diagnosis of chorionic carcinoma, an important place is occupied by the determination of the level of β-hCG, which is a tumor marker of this type of tumor. Intraplacental chorionic carcinoma is a rare form of chorionic carcinoma that develops against the background of a normal pregnancy. Its distinctive feature is the absence of clinical symptoms before the onset of metastasis, which significantly worsens the prognosis. In the world literature, 62 cases of intraplacental chorionic carcinoma are described, while 59 cases were diagnosed after a histological examination of the placenta, in 3 cases the diagnosis was made during pregnancy and appropriate treatment was carried out. In the described 3 cases, the patients complained of the presence of bloody discharge from the genital tract during pregnancy, a more detailed examination revealed the presence of metastases in the vagina. We present our own clinical observation of intraplacental choriocarcinoma, established after early surgical delivery and histological examination of the placenta. At the same time, the clinical picture was similar to that of lung cancer and the presence of brain metastases.
