How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This research examines the state of food security in Kazakhstan at the present stage, considering the impact of the unstable economic and political situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and conflicts in various regions of the planet. Inadequate food supply can have repercussions on the economy and well-being of the population globally. The article analyzes the dynamics of food security over the years based on the study of official statistical information from the National Statistics Bureau of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The study identifies key "pain points" in the food supply to the population, highlighting products for which the country is import-dependent and exploring the reasons behind this situation. The role of the country's agro-industrial complex in providing the population with food products is examined. An analysis of the production and consumption of essential food products necessary for human livelihood is conducted, comparing them with recommended medical consumption norms. Insufficient development of the food industry is noted, leading to a rise in the import of food products. The conclusion is drawn that the current state of food security in the Republic of Kazakhstan cannot be considered entirely satisfactory. In the conclusion, the authors propose recommendations on how to improve the situation in the country's agricultural sector, particularly in agriculture and the food industry, to enhance food security.
