How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The estimation of geomagnetically induced currents that can affect the power grid system was conducted based on measurements from mid-latitude geomagnetic observatories in this study. To accomplish this, the grid line in the territory of Amaty oblast, Kazakhstan, was selected, and the geophysical conditions in the region were investigated. It was determined that due to geomagnetically active periods, Kazakhstan's energy systems affect by geomagnetically induced currents for a significant duration that depends on the geomagnetic storm value and time of its lasting, with the rate of geomagnetic field changes exceeding 17 nT/min. And the value of the geomagnetically induced currents can vary from fractions of mA to tens of mA.
