How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

On the basis of mathematical modeling methods, an effective approach to the problem of determining the spread of the oil slick formed in the event of a possible accident in the conditions of the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian sea is proposed. With the help of the CARDINAL software package(SP), a mathematical model of oil distribution in case of emergency spills in the Northern Caspian has been developed. As a result of modeling, the values of the main parameters of the Kashagan oil spot (artificial island D) were obtained: duration (t), diameter (l), thickness of the circular spot (h) and spreading rate (U) at the end of the first (inertial), second (gravitational) viscous) and third (surface tension) stages of spreading with different volumes of oil spill. With the help of the CARDINAL software package, 5 local hydrodynamic models of various scales of the northern part of the Caspian Sea have been developed, which allow to performin a wide range of calculations related to emergency oil spills in this region.
