How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Abstract In this study, we report the fabrication of a cubic phase SnO 2 based thin film gas sensor with excellent sensitivity and selectivity for carbon monoxide (CO) gas at room temperature, with a high response of 25606% achieved at 2 ppm CO gas concentration, and a detection limit down to 1ppb. The cubic phase SnO 2 thin films were synthesized via a simple sol-gel method. Our synthesis technique allows for stabilizing the cubic phase of SnO 2 , confirmed through XRD and TEM studies, which is otherwise reported at high pressures and temperatures. Further, our DFT simulations show that the cubic phase of SnO 2 nanoparticles has a lower energy barrier for CO adsorption and desorption than the more common tetragonal phase. The low-voltage and ambient operating conditions of the sensor reported in this study make it highly practical for widespread use, thus offering a promising solution to the growing need for efficient and affordable gas sensing applications, including environmental monitoring, industrial safety, and medical diagnosis.
