How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

The differential cross sections for elastic proton scattering on 15 C and 15 N nuclei at energies of 150 and 800 MeV were calculated within the diffraction theory of Glauber multiple scattering. Shellmodel wave functions were used in these calculations, and particular attention was given to analyzing the sensitivity of the calculated features to distinctions between the shell structure of the 15 C nucleus and the shell structure of the 15 N nucleus. The calculations were performed in the approximation of double scattering. The multiple-scattering operator was written in a form that permits taking into account collisions with nucleons belonging to different shells. It is shown that the difference in structure between the two nuclei in question leads to substantial distinctions between the differential cross sections for scattering at an energy of 800 MeV and scattering angles larger than 25°.
