How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Ti -addition to hydroxyapatites [Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2–HA] with 5.0 wt.% Ti content, was successfully deposited on titanium substrate by mechanical alloying (MA) method. The X-ray Diffraction (XRD) data indicated that some changes take place in the HA lattice as well as in the Ti substrate. The coating thickness of the as-synthesized sample was about 91.1 μm. Ti incorporation into the apatite structure caused lattice shrinkage. The heat treated sample shows that dominant phase was HA up to 600°C. The Ti -doped HA steadily transformed to β- and α-tricalcium phosphate at 800°C. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) observations revealed cracks above the temperature of 600°C. The presence of cracks could be due to the difference in coefficients of thermal expansion of Ti -doped HA and Ti -alloy substrate.
