How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Numerical and experimental methods are used to investigate the aerodynamic characteristics of a laboratory model in the form of a cylinder with an active rotating element (deflector) that can be used as a working blade of a wind turbine. Numerical simulation was based on solving the Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes equations for the realizable ( $$k{-}\varepsilon$$ ) turbulence model using the Ansys Fluent software. Experimental studies were performed using a laboratory model with a cylinder 205 mm long and 50 mm in diameter and a deflector 100 mm in diameter, which was produced based on the results of the numerical simulation. A comparative analysis of the numerical and experimental aerodynamic characteristics of the model was carried out and the aerodynamic features of the airflow around the test model were identified.
