How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

This article discusses the integration of smart sensors and the Internet of Things (IoT) in digital twins for Industry 4.0, representing a transformative approach to industrial operations. We explore the applications, benefits, and challenges associated with using smart sensors and IoT technologies in the context of digital twins. Digital twins, virtual replicas of physical assets or processes, rely on real- time data provided by smart sensors and IoT devices for continuous monitoring, analysis, and optimization of industrial operations. The focus is on the role of smart sensors and $I o T$ in creating and maintaining accurate and efficient digital twins, addressing challenges such as data security issues, compatibility concerns, and the complexity of managing heterogeneous sensor networks in large industrial environments.
