How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

A millimeter-wave antenna with enhanced gain and efficiency is presented in this work. A decagonal-shaped patch antenna for the desired 28 GHz frequency is initially utilized, the gain of which is enhanced by the Fabry-Perot cavity technique. The metasurface used in the Fabry-Pérot cavity was placed at different points. The antenna gain and efficiency were initially measured as 4.45 dBi and 0.69, respectively. However, introducing a metasurface at a distance of 5.4 mm enhanced the gain and efficiency to 5.16 dBi and 0.24, respectively. As a result, the total maximum gain and efficiency achieved are 9.61 dBi and 0.93. A bandwidth of 1.45 GHz is also attained, which covers the 28 GHz frequency band. The antenna and metasurface are successfully fabricated and tested. The results validate that the proposed antenna can be used in 5G applications.
