How this score is calculated

It is built from checkable properties of the record itself: whether the article has a DOI, how many independent sources confirmed its data, whether the required fields are filled in, and how recent the latest confirmation is. Disagreement between sources and a missing identifier lower it. A value of 80 or above means the record was published without further checking; 60 to 79 means it is published at reduced confidence, with a manual check advisable. A record verified by an editor by hand is never pushed below 90 by a recalculation. This scores our data about the article, not the article itself.

Abstract

Drilling systems are among the most important and sensitive industrial systems, which consist of cascaded induction motors, induction motors, and transformers. These systems will cause significant voltage drops during starting. In this study, a STATCOM is utilized to compensate the reactive power. A fuzzy controller is employed to improve the performance of induction motors. The inputs of the proposed controller are “the response error” and “error change rate” and the outputs are PI controller coefficients. Changing the range of fuzzy membership functions and fuzzy rules are optimized by the PSO-GA. The impact of this controller is shown in different scenarios in terms of reduction of startup time, reactive power consumption reduction, and compensation of voltage drop.
